Before the Lok Sabha elections, the first list of Congress for Rajasthan could come, while the second list of the Bharatiya Janata Party may come next week. There is a possibility of a meeting of the Congress Central Election Committee on Monday and BJP on Tuesday.
It is being reported that the Congress in Rajasthan may form an alliance with Hanuman Beniwal’s Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and the Bharatiya Adivasi Party (BAP). If this happens, then the Nagaur seat will be part of Hanuman Beniwal’s party, while the Banswara seat may go to the Bharatiya Adivasi Party.
However, the Adivasi Party’s MLA Rajkumar Roat claims that the party is in a strong position on the Udaipur seat along with Dungarpur-Banswara. Moreover, there is also a tribal vote bank in Jalore-Sirohi, Rajsamand, and Chittorgarh. In this case, Congress will also benefit.
If this alliance happens, Congress will contest the Lok Sabha elections on 23 seats in Rajasthan this time. However, this will only happen when Congress reaches an agreement with both of these parties. According to sources, discussions are in the final stages. The reason is that this time, Congress wants to break BJP’s hat-trick victory. Therefore, after discussing on every seat, names are being finalized. In the meeting of the Central Election Committee, two names have been sent for each seat. These names will be obtained from the report of Sunil Kanugolu. The party’s effort is for Pradesh President Govind Singh Dotasra to contest from the Sikar seat, and Sachin Pilot to enter the field from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur. If both leaders agree, it is decided that their names will be on the first list of Congress.
Dissatisfaction among local leaders with Sumedhanand Saraswati
Meanwhile, the BJP has nominated Swami Sumedhanand Saraswati as its candidate from Sikar for the third time. This has led to dissatisfaction among local leaders with anti-incumbency. In this situation, Congress believes that if Govind Singh Dotasara is made the candidate from Sikar, they can win the seat.
Similarly, if Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria is given the ticket from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur by the BJP for the third time, Sachin Pilot from Congress may enter the field. If not Sachin, then Harish Meena’s name is final. Along with them, Vaibhav Gehlot, the son of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has been finalized as the candidate from Jalore-Sirohi.

Similarly, if Congress leaves the following seats: Divya Maderna from Pali, Lalit Yadav from Alwar, Murarilal Meena from Dausa, Ashok Chandna from Kota-Bundi, Pramod Jain Bhaya from Jhalawar, Vinod Gothwal from Hanumangarh-Ganganagar, Harish Choudhary from Barmer, Rahul Kaswan from Churu, Uday Lal Anjana from Chittorgarh, Manvendra Singh from Jodhpur, Ramlal Meena from Udaipur, Bhajan Lal Jatav from Bharatpur, etc., then their names might be in the first list.
There is uncertainty regarding Jaipur city and Jaipur rural areas. It is believed that in the meeting of the election committee scheduled for March 11, the names of candidates for all Hindi-speaking states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, etc., can be finalized. On the other hand, the BJP is also in a mood to play on new faces for the remaining 10 seats. In this regard, on March 12, BJP’s central election committee may put its stamp on the remaining names.
