Following the appointment of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister in the Bharatiya Janata Party, there is currently intense speculation and discussion regarding the formation of the cabinet. Legislators are actively engaging in lobbying for ministerial positions, and sources suggest that efforts are underway through the RSS to facilitate entry into the cabinet. Numerous legislators have reportedly travelled to Delhi, and some have even visited Nagpur. Simultaneously, endeavours are being made through senior leaders of the state.
In the midst of these developments, the central leadership of the BJP has issued instructions emphasizing the need to consider caste equations in the cabinet to ensure that no community is left dissatisfied.
The message has resonated even at the grassroots level, indicating that the Meena community would be discontent if Kirorilal Meena was not appointed as the Deputy CM. Members of the community have expressed their sentiments on social media. There is a suggestion that the BJP should be visible in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Consequently, the Bharatiya Janata Party plans to allocate ministerial positions to both young and female legislators. Sources indicate that the first cabinet list may include about 15 to 18 names. However, it is anticipated that only two legislators from the capital will be included in the initial list, given that both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister hail from Jaipur district. Rajvardhan Singh Rathore from Jhotwara and Gopal Sharma from Civil Lines are the frontrunners in this regard.
BJP has seen dissatisfaction from the Gurjar community
As the Lok Sabha elections approach, the BJP is keen to avoid displeasing any community. The party has taken note of the dissatisfaction within the Gurjar community, a consequence of Sachin Pilot not being appointed as the Chief Minister in the Congress, which proved detrimental to the Congress party. The Gurjar community, in response, did not vote for Congress-supported candidates for Sachin Pilot, leading to the defeat of several legislators. In light of these circumstances, the BJP aims to pacify and accommodate all communities to secure a favourable outcome in the upcoming elections.
Special attention will be given to these groups
In the BJP, where no one from the ST category has been appointed as Chief Minister or Deputy Chief Minister, there is a likelihood of increased attention towards legislators associated with the ST Meena community. The first list of the cabinet is expected to include representatives from various communities, including the Vaishya community, with two or three names being considered. Discussions are also ongoing for three names from the Brahmin community. The initial list of ministers is anticipated to represent a diverse range of communities, including Rajput, Jat, SC, and Mali. Additionally, around four to five women legislators may be included in this list. Several names are under discussion for ministerial positions in the Bharatiya Janata Party.
