As the much-awaited Rajasthan election results are scheduled to be announced on December 3, both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress are leaving no stone unturned to win over their candidates. The two parties are strategizing and working tirelessly to ensure that their candidates are on their side and that they secure a victory in the upcoming elections. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the outcome, both the BJP and Congress are optimistic about their chances and are putting in their best efforts to emerge victorious.

Before the election, the Congress party took strict action against some of its contestants, whereas the BJP did not take any significant action against its rebel contestants. In the current scenario, both parties have already started making efforts to form the government even before the vote counting. In case of a fractured mandate, winning 44 candidates from Congress and BJP can play a vital role.

It is believed that this time more than 15 contestants can reach the assembly by winning the election. In this case, the state leadership of both parties has issued instructions to contact winning candidates so that if there is any difficulty in reaching the majority figures, their dissidents can be immediately appeased. The significant thing is that some of the rebel contestants of the BJP are close to former CM Vasundhara Raje, while some of the Congress’s rebel contestants are close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.

11 contestants are associated with Vasundhara Raje
Talking about the BJP, from the Pilani seat, Kailash Meghwal, from Deedwana, former minister Yunus Khan, from Jhunjhunu, Rajendra Bhambu, from Sangariya, Gulab Singh Sinvra, from Shahpura Bhilwara, former speaker Kailash Meghwal, from Barmer, the granddaughter of former minister Gangaram, Priyanka Chaudhary, from Khedela, former minister Bhanwar Bajiya, from Anupgarh, former MLA Asha Meena, from Pushkar, Ashok Singh Rawat, and Sanchore, former MLA Jeevaram Chaudhary are contesting. All these candidates are considered supporters of former CM Vasundhara Raje. In this situation, if there is a fragmented mandate, the responsibility of convincing the winning legislators associated with the Vasundhara group can be given to Raje herself.

7 contestants are close to Ashok Gehlot
On the other hand, in Congress, seven close leaders of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot are also contesting as independents. These include MLA Johri Lal Meena, MLA Alok Beniwal, former minister Veerendra Beniwal, former MLA Ramchandra Saradana, from Dhod, MLA Parasram Moradia’s son Mahesh Moradia, Habiburrahman from Nagaur, and Gopal Baheti from Pushkar.

5 independents are close to Pilot
On the other hand, formerDeputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot’s supporter leaders are also becoming a headache for Congress in the election. Among them, MLA Khiladilal Bairwa from Pilani has entered the election arena. While from Keshoraipatan, Rakesh Boyat, from Manoharthana, former district president Kailash Meena, from Shri Ganganagar, the wife of former candidate Karuna Ashok Chandak, and from Shiv, former district president Fateh Khan are contesting the election.

The political scenario in Rajasthan is currently characterized by intense strategizing and groundwork by both the BJP and Congress, in anticipation of the election results on December 3. Both parties are acutely conscious of the potential significance of dissident candidates in deciding the majority. The following days are expected to be crucial, as political maneuvering escalates in Rajasthan.
