Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena national president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead at his Jaipur home a day ago, and Kirodi Lal Meena, a BJP MP, has claimed that the previous Rajasthani government disregarded his security requests. In an interview Meena stated that Gogamedi had asked for security cover after receiving threats from violent criminals. But the previous administration disregarded it. Tuesday saw Gogamedi shot and killed in Jaipur by unknown bike-borne criminals.

“Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi had requested state government security several times, he was being threatened by hardcore criminals, still government did not provide security to him and this is the result of that…new CM has not been decided and oath taking has not happened yet but our party demands the arrest of such criminals…Congress is doing politics on this, Gehlot shouldn’t have made such a statement. Everybody needs to work together on this,” said the BJP leader.

Union minister Kailash Choudhary declared, “There is no place for goons in Rajasthan,” and denounced the murder. Those who engage in criminal activity should be punished.”

Earlier, Rajasthan DGP Umesh Mishra informed that raids are being conducted at the possible hideouts of the miscreants.
“Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi and one of his bodyguards were shot. An accused accompanying the killers was also shot, who has died. Raids are being conducted at the possible hideouts of the miscreants,” said the DGP.
