A Congress meeting was held on Wednesday regarding “Donate for Nyay” at PCC headquarters. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge formally launched the digital mode of the campaign on December 18, with Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal and the party treasurer Ajay Maken in lieu of the 138th year of the formation of the Congress.
Crossed the mark of Rs 10 crore
The Congress party, on Tuesday, said that it had raised Rs 10 crores through a crowdfunding campaign in the first two weeks of its launch ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As an effort to fuel the mission and empower Congress, Rajasthan PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara called a meeting and instructed all the MLAs and party workers to donate in multiples of Rs 670.
With the aim of making the 2024 Lok Sabha elections successful. PCC President Govind Singh Dotasara gave instructions to the officials in the meeting. Instructions were given to MLAs to deposit Rs 67000, PCC officials, District Presidents, Block Presidents Rs 6700 and Mandal Presidents Rs 670 compulsorily deposited in the fund.
The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ will also pass through Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, where the Congress recently lost elections. Rahul Gandhi is expected to reconnect with the voters in these states.
To mark the 6,713 km-long yatra, the party will receive donations in multiples of 67. Any person who donates Rs. 670 or more will get a T-shirt signed by Rahul Gandhi as a gift. “Those who donate Rs. 67,000 or more will get a ‘Nyay Kit’ which will contain a T-shirt, bag, band, badge and sticker,” Maken said. While launching the marketing campaign at the AICC headquarters in Delhi, Congress treasurer Ajay Maken claimed that the major aim to encourage launching the initiative and the wider crowdfunding marketing and marketing campaign called ‘Donate for Desh’, launched by the celebration earlier, used to not amass money, however, be used to encourage workers.
Donation of Rs 670 or more to rep T-shirts signed by Rahul Gandhi
Maken, elucidating the donation plans stated that the people who contribute Rs 670 or more for the marketing and marketing campaign would receive a T-shirt signed by Rahul Gandhi as a reward.
“Of us who donate Rs 67,000 or more will rep a ‘Nyay Kit’ which is ready to contain a T-shirt, win, band, badge and sticky label,” he added.
“For anything else that one donates, a letter signed by Rahul Gandhi and a certificate of donation,” stated Maken, who was accompanied by Jairam Ramesh, joint treasurer Vijay Inder Singla, and Congress minority cell head Imran Pratapgarhi. Maken claimed that the crowdfunding marketing and marketing campaign ‘Donate for Desh’, launched by the celebration on Dec 18, 2023, aimed to gather Rs 20 crore.
Efforts to make the campaign gain momentum
The Congress treasurer also said, “Under the party’s ‘Donate for Desh’ crowdfunding campaign launched on December 18 last year, Rs 20 crores had been collected. Within two hours of launching the ‘Donate for Nyay’ campaign, Rs 2 crores had been collected, the Congress treasurer said. He further added that this campaign was a new chapter and urged people to offer even one paisa per kilometre, which would amount to Rs 67. If a person with a little more capacity gives 10 paise, he can give 670 paise.”

“The highest amount was donated from Rajasthan in ‘Donate for Country,” said Vijay Inder Singla. He added that all the leaders officials and workers participated enthusiastically, and Rajasthan stood first in the entire country in donating to that campaign.
For this, he has expressed gratitude to all the party leaders and workers including former CM Ashok Gehlot, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara, and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully.
Former CM Gehlot contributes to the crowdfunding
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in his bid to contribute towards the mission to empower Congress donated an amount of Rs 6,70,000 on wednesday. Through the 6700 km Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, the Congress is trying to ensure the rights of all the citizens of the country. The former CM has urged the citizens to donate whatever amount they can as an effort to support Congress.
