Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be travelling to Srinagar on Wednesday for a personal visit. Rahul Gandhi, who was scheduled to visit Varanasi on Tuesday, had to return to Delhi as his flight was unable to land at the Varanasi airport.

The Congress claims that Rahul Gandhi’s plane was not let to land at the Varanasi airport by the airport authorities.
The president of Droupadi Murmu’s visit, according to Congress leader Ajay Rai, was used as a “excuse” by the airport authorities who allegedly refused to provide clearance because they were under pressure.

“Rahul Gandhi was supposed to come here and travel from there to Prayagraj, but the airport management refused to let his plane land because of government pressure. They denied permission and claimed there was high aircraft movement and traffic congestion “Rai asserted
In order to attend today’s prayers at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Congress MP was supposed to fly into Varanasi on Monday night.

Rahul Gandhi has been served with a breach of privilege notice by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi for making “misleading, derogatory, unparliamentary, and incriminating statements” during a debate on the motion of thanks for the President’s address. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has asked Gandhi for a response.
Rahul Gandhi has been requested to submit his response by February 15 in order for the Lok Sabha Speaker to take it into consideration.
