Punjab Tourism Minister and Kharar MLA, Anmol Gagan Mann, today, Kickstarted the much-awaited Sewerage Project worth Rs 47.39 crore from ward number 13 in the presence of Chairman, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Dr Sunny Singh Ahluwalia at Kharar City.
She said that the project pegged at Rs 47 Crore would resolve the pending issues of the Kharar residents who were in dire need of disposal of waste liquid water. The two-phased project would have an STP at Khooni Majra besides a pumping station.
She said that it was a dream project for her in the constituency for which she was striving hard to make it practical. Expressing special thanks to Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairman Dr Sunny Singh Ahluwalia, she said that apart from the Sewerage Project, another coveted project of Surface drinking water supply from Kajauli is also in the tendering stage that would be completed in next 8 months after getting successful bidder.
Similarly, projects worth Rs 61Crore (Rs 21 Crore tenders awarded while Rs 36 Crore being floated in the next days besides Rs 1.76 Crore for open gyms in parks and 2.66 crore under Swachh Bharat Mission) for the Comprehensive development of the Kharar city have been set in motion by starting from ward number 16 today. She said projects worth Rs 62.51 lakh have been initiated only for Ward 16.
