Two members of the notorious Bishnoi gang were arrested following a dramatic shootout and chase in Jalandhar, Punjab, early this morning. The police reported that they seized three pistols and several cartridges from the suspects during the operation.

The suspects opened fire on the police during the chase. In response, the officers fired back, leading to the suspects’ capture. The arrested individuals have multiple criminal charges against them, including extortion, murder, violations of the Arms Act, and drug-related offenses.

Bishnoi Gang’s Criminal Network
The Bishnoi gang, led by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned in Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail, has about 700 shooters spread across the country. The gang is under scrutiny for its involvement in several high-profile murders, including those of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala and politician Baba Siddique.
