BJP Punjab Chief Sunil Jakhar criticizes Bhagwant Mann for turning a blind eye to daily murders, extortions, and kidnappings, warning against the state›s descent into complete anarchy.

Jakhar expresses concern over the demoralization within the Punjab Police, stating that the state is rapidly heading towards total anarchy. Daily murders, extortions, and kidnappings have left all Punjabis paralyzed with fear, yet the Chief Minister appears indifferent and oblivious. Jakhar condemns the state government›s failure to prevent the daylight murder of Tarn Taran village Sarpanch Sonu Cheema, despite regular warnings.

Cautioning CM Bhagwant Mann for the continuous lack of trust in the Punjab Police›s ability to safeguard the lives and property of the common man, Jakhar notes that incidents of murders and threats have become so commonplace that people now view them as part of their daily lives under this insensitive government.

The Chief Minister and his officers seem only interested in issuing advertisements and holding customary press conferences to present fake numbers. Meanwhile, people on the ground are depressed and dismayed by the dismal state of affairs. Jakhar expresses concern over Punjab›s tarnished reputation due to the administrative apathy of this regime, warning that the tag of incompetence will be difficult to shake off. He questions the state›s ability to attract positive investment and interest from investors in the near future.

Jakhar questions the dismal law and order situation, citing examples of jailed gangsters celebrating birthday parties with impunity. He points out that even small businessmen receive extortion calls from dreaded criminals inside the jail. The list of issues is shockingly unending, with murders occurring alarmingly regularly in Punjab while the state dispensation remains in deep slumber, according to Jakhar.»
