The repatriation of human remains of Nagas from a museum in the UK is underway with a collective leading the initiative.
The Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford had announced in 2020 that it would remove the human remains and other “insensitive exhibits” from display.
Naga anthropologist Dolly Konyak and social scientist Dr Arkotong Longkumer approached PRM director Laura Van Broekhoven, who urged the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) to facilitate the repatriation process.
