Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has voiced concerns about the deployment of police barricades and spikes along the Haryana-Punjab border ahead of their planned march to Delhi on February 13. Priyanka Gandhi posted a video addressing this issue on social media platform X.

Priyanka Gandhi wrote – “Is laying thorns and nails in the path of farmers Amritkaal or Injustice Kaal? This insensitive and anti-farmer attitude had taken the lives of 750 farmers. Working against farmers, and then not even allowing them to raise their voice, what kind of government is this?” Are there symptoms?

The promises made to the farmers were not fulfilled, neither the MSP law was made, nor the income of the farmers was doubled, then if the farmers do not come to the government of the country, where will they go? Prime Minister, why behave like this with the farmers of the country? Why don’t you fulfill the promise you made to the farmers?

On the Delhi march, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that we have to secure Haryana at any cost. If they (farmer organizations) take law and order into their own hands, it will not be allowed at all. Central ministers are going to Punjab and talking to farmers.

On Saturday (February 10) afternoon, the police sealed the Shambhu border in Ambala from the Haryana side to prevent farmers from Punjab from entering Haryana to go to Delhi. Cement barricades have been placed and iron nails have been laid on the Ghaggar river bridge near the Shambhu border. Apart from this, to prevent farmers from taking tractors through the Ghaggar river, the banks of the entire river have been dug with JCB.

Heavy police force has been deployed here. Apart from Shambhu, farmers have chosen Dabwali of Sirsa and Khanauri border of Sangrur for entry into Haryana. All the borders have been sealed.

On the other hand, Haryana government has stopped mobile internet, dongle and bulk SMS for 3 days in 7 districts of the state. The decision to ban will be applicable in Ambala, Hisar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Fatehabad, Dabwali-Sirsa. This ban will be in effect from 6 am on February 11 to 11:59 pm on February 13. During this period, broadband and leased line internet will continue to operate.

Haryana government says that ADGP of CID has reported that a call for march and demonstration has been given by the farmers. There is a possibility of tension, damage to public property and disturbance of peace, hence the decision to ban the internet has been taken.
