Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen to maintain a distance from the Royal family, resulting in limited interaction opportunities for their children with their grandparents and cousins in the United Kingdom. Despite this, Prince Harry has fondly recalled Queen Elizabeth’s encounter with Archie and Lilibet.

While royal enthusiasts delight in seeing Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis at events like Trooping the Colour, they keenly feel the absence of Queen Elizabeth’s great-grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior royals and relocated to California with their son Archie. Apart from occasional insights shared, such as in Harry’s memoir “Spare,” the family has prioritized their privacy. They reside in a lavish $14 million mansion in Montecito, California.

In a rare disclosure, Prince Harry shared that Queen Elizabeth found Archie and Lilibet’s behavior “bemusing,” expecting them to display more American traits.

“We couldn’t stop hugging the children for days, not letting them out of our sight — although I couldn’t help but imagine them with Granny. The last visit. Archie making deep, chivalrous bows, and his baby sister Lilibet cuddling the Queen’s legs,” Harry recounted, as per Hello Magazine.

Archie was born at Portland Hospital on May 6, 2019, while Lilibet arrived at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital on June 4, 2021.

Reflecting on the joyous occasion of Lilibet’s birth, Harry described it as a blissful moment devoid of royal protocols or media intrusion.

“We arrived at the hospital calmly with our security team, who brought fries and burgers for us, and fajitas from a nearby Mexican restaurant for Meghan,” Harry wrote, adding that they enjoyed a hearty meal and even did the “Baby Mama dance” in the hospital room, filled with joy and love.
