The President of India appointed the Judge of Jharkhand High Court, Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court.
The notification in this regard read that in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, thus, the President of India is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, the Judge of the Jharkhand High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court with effect from the date Shri Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh assumes charge of his office.
Shri Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh was born on 07.07.1965. Justice AK Singh passed B.A. Honors and has obtained the L.L.B Degree from the University of Delhi. Justice AK Singh in the year 1990 enrolled as an advocate and Justice Singh also practiced at Patna High Court from 1990 to 2000 and in the High Court of Jharkhand since 2001 till the elevation of Justice AK Singh as Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand.
Justice AK Singh was also appointed as the Additional Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand on 24.01.2012 and he was confirmed as the permanent Judge on 16.01.2015. Justice AK Singh also served as the Acting Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court from the 20.12.2022 to the 19.02.2023.
