President Murmu attended a gathering in Guwahati on Friday to commemorate the Gauhati High Court’s 75th anniversary.
On occasion, she released the ‘Bhoroxa’ smartphone app, which was designed to ensure the safety of ladies and the elderly.

” Addressing the gathering, the President stated that the Gauhati High Court is unique in India’s judicial landscape. It had jurisdiction over seven states for more than six decades after its creation in 1948, and it still retains jurisdiction over four states. It has carved out its character by generating several legal luminaries. It has also earned prominence for making some historic rulings. She expressed confidence that the Gauhati High Court would continue to serve the people in the same manner in the years ahead,” according to a pressed released statement.
On Friday, the President launched the Gaj Utsav 2023 at the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, on the second day of her visit.

The President stated on the occasion that there is a sacred tie between nature and humanity.
“Our country’s identity has been built on a culture of respect for nature. Nature and culture in India have long been intertwined and mutually beneficial. Elephants have always been revered in our culture. It has long been seen as a symbol of good fortune. It is India’s National Heritage Animal. As a result, elephant conservation is an important part of our national responsibility to preserve our national heritage,” President Murmu stated.
She emphasized that for Project Elephant and Gaj-Utsav to succeed, all stakeholders must work together.
