District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, spearheaded a comprehensive meeting to deliberate on arrangements for the upcoming Maha Shivratri Mela 2024 at Ransoo. Scheduled to span three days from 7th March to 9th March 2024, the annual congregation requires meticulous planning for a smooth and vibrant celebration.
Key aspects discussed in the meeting encompassed provisions for drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, road repairs, security, and medical facilities. DDC Mahajan, emphasizing the significance of thorough planning, urged all concerned departments to ensure that arrangements are well in place in advance to facilitate a seamless Maha Shivratri celebration.
In the domain of medical facilities, the District Development Commissioner directed Chief Medical Officer Reasi to deploy an ample number of medical staff, ambulances, and necessary medical infrastructure to handle any potential emergencies during the event.
DDC Mahajan underscored the need for cleanliness in all parking areas and insisted on the provision of toilet facilities. Additionally, he emphasized a strict ban on the use of single-use plastics on the track trail and in the vicinity of the cave to uphold environmental sustainability.
