Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor has announced that he sustained an injury, which will prevent him from continuing his ‘Jan Suraaj’ padayatra in Bihar for approximately a month. The padayatra, which started on Gandhi Jayanti, will now resume after a 15-day break during which he will recover from a muscle tear.

Kishor informed reporters in Samastipur that doctors diagnosed him with the health issue after he experienced pain in his left leg upon returning from Valisahli. Despite the injury, Kishor stated that he has no other health problems and attributed the muscle tear to walking long distances on poor roads.

He emphasized his commitment to the padayatra’s purpose and refused to take a break earlier. Kishor acknowledged that the healing process necessitated a temporary halt, but assured that the padayatra would resume with the same intensity and format from the same location after 15 days.

Kishor, known for his involvement with influential figures in Indian politics, expressed his decision to shift his focus from professional consultancy to assisting his home state of Bihar in overcoming economic stagnation and the pervasive issue of migration.
