Salman Khan Cancels ‘Bigg Boss 18’ Shoot Following The Death Of Baba Siddique

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has cancelled the shoot of his reality show ‘Bigg Boss 18’ following the tragic killing of politician Baba Siddique, who was a close friend of the actor. Salman immediately rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after hearing the news.

Baba Siddique, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) who had recently joined Ajit Pawar’s faction, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East. The attack, which took place near the Colgate Ground in Nirmal Nagar, left the politician with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Siddique succumbed to his injuries.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt also arrived at Lilavati Hospital late on Saturday after learning about the incident.

Baba Siddique was a prominent figure in Mumbai’s political and social circles, having represented the Bandra West assembly constituency three times as a Congress leader before joining the NCP. He was also known for hosting lavish Iftar parties, which were attended by the who’s who of the Bollywood industry, including Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. It was at one of these gatherings in 2013 that the two Bollywood superstars famously reconciled after a five-year-long feud, uniting a divided industry.

Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with the killing, with one hailing from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Haryana, while a third suspect is still at large. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has condemned the killing, vowing to take strict action and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. Police are continuing to investigate the motive behind the attack.
