Rajasthan BJP Leader PP Chaudhary Files Nomination for Pali in LS Polls

PP Chaudhary, BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate for Rajasthan’s Pali parliamentary constituency, submitted his nomination papers on Wednesday, accompanied by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Chaudhary, who has served as a two-time MP from Pali, is aiming for reelection in the upcoming general elections.

PP Chaudhary, the incumbent MP for Pali, is facing competition from Congress’s Lok Sabha candidate Sangeeta Beniwal. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Chaudhary secured victory over Congress’ Badriram Jakhar. Similarly, in the 2014 election, PP Chaudhary defeated Indian National Congress candidate Munni Devi Godara.

After filing his candidacy and addressing the press, Union Minister and BJP member Gajendra Singh Shekhawat asserted the BJP’s commitment to ensuring that the Congress party does not secure any seats in Rajasthan. He also expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory by a margin exceeding 5 lakh votes.

“In the elections of 2014 and 2019 in Rajasthan, just as we won all twenty-five seats, this time again, we enter the electoral battle with the same resolve that the Congress party will not open its account in Rajasthan. In the Pali Lok Sabha constituency, following Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s determination to win by more than 5 lakh votes, we are not just fighting to win but to win with a margin greater than 5 lakh votes. Today, we are filing our nomination and entering the fray of the election with this aim,” he said.

Rajasthan is set to hold elections in two phases, on April 19 and April 26. The first phase, scheduled for April 19, will witness polling for 12 Lok Sabha seats, while the second phase on April 26 will cover the remaining 13 seats.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP secured victory in 24 out of 25 seats, with the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party winning one. Similarly, in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious in all 25 parliamentary constituencies.
