Congress, which is struggling to return to power as well as bring its exile from power to an end, has suffered another setback on Sunday after Nitish Kumar Dumped the weaken Congress and INDIA alliance and joined the saffron BJP. Similarly, several leaders in Haryana bid farewell their parties recently and joined hands with opposite factions they has refrained themselves from those parties for a long time in a bid to fulfill their political exile, Since its all about the political gains and ambitions, so leaders reported being upset in view of prolonged negligence, are most likely to part their ways coming with a political coup ahead of polls.

In Haryana, three of the political stalwarts including Father-daughter duo Nirmal Singh and Chitra Sarwara along with Ashok Tanwar have parted their ways in last one month and many more resembling them may opt out the same way. Nirmal Singh, Chitra Sarwara and Ashok Tanwar have left Aam Aadmi Party and joined BJP and Congress respectively. it is being seen as a big blow for AAP which is hesitant in Haryana’s politics. Political experts believe that with Ashok Tanwar joining and Nirmal Singh-Chitra joining BJP and Congress, a glimpse of huge change can be gauged in some seats in both the parties ahead of the forthcoming polls in Haryana.

Notably, Nirmal Singh was a strong contender for the ticket from Congress in the 2019 assembly elections, but due to the widened rift between party bigwigs namely Bhupender Singh Hooda and of Kumari Selja, which still prevails. emerged as an obstacle for him and annoyed with the same, he opted out to contest the contest as an independent from the Ambala city seat bidding a farewell to Congress.

As an independent candidate, could not make it but gave a tough competition to Aseem Goyal of BJP securing about 56 thousand votes. Similarly, his daughter Chitra Sarwara who was also denied the ticket due to the same reason also contested the battle as an independent candidate from Ambala Cantt and secured more than 44 thousand votes remaining on second position against Anil Vij In such a situation, it is now believed that both father and daughter can be Congress candidates on these two seats. It is noteworthy that Nirmal Singh is in good books of Hooda and believed to be very close to him which strengthen his claims for the ticket in the upcoming polls. In this row, political experts believe that Hooda will leave no stone unturned in lobbying hard for the tickets of both the Congress candidates by citing the debacle of both contestants fielded last time to the high command . In such a situation, the joining of Congress by both of them is being considered as a blow for Hooda’s staunch opponent Kumari Selja.

Likewise, Ashok Tanwar who has changed three parties in the last four years, has parted his ways with the AAP, still an entrant in the state as it failed to debut so far in the state politics. Since he belongs to the SC community, after joining BJP, there is a possibility of him being fielded from the reserved seat Sirsa in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as the voters in the constituency are believed to be upset with the sitting BJP MP SunitA Duggal adding to the woes of the state leadership as well as of the party high command ahead of Mission 2024.
Amid the possibility of fielding Ashok Tanwar from the seat, Sunity Duggal seems in an uncomfortable position with Ashok Tanwar’s entry into BJP. The possibility of making Ashok Tanwar contest the parliamentary polls from Ambala seat also surfaces but since several contenders queue up for the ticket from the seat, its possibility seems less in view of the current political scenario.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, all the parties are trying to strengthen their position by importing leaders from other parties. In order to strengthen themselves on the seats where BJP, Congress, JJP and INLD are weak, they are trying to bring in leaders with more or less support base from other parties to their party. However, whatever big or small leaders are joining other parties, they are not being promised a ticket or any other position by the concerned party. With elections nearing, it is expected that movement of leaders from one party to another will continue.

BJP veteran Chaudhary Birendra Singh had announced in the Jind rally last year to quit the party to put pressure on his own party BJP if it continued with alliance with the JJP and the Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, his arch rivals but contrary to this, ever after the fiasco of the JJP in the assembly polls in the adjoining Rajasthan, the BJP opted out to continue the alliance, a setback to Birender Singh. Birendra Singh and JJP veteran Dushyant Chautala are eyeball to eyeball on Hisar parliamentary and Uchana assembly seats. In such a situation, in the ongoing fight with JJP for political survival, if BJP breaks the alliance with JJP, he can bid goodbye to the party.

Political experts believe that he can return to his old home Congress. Last year, he had also praised the Congress high command, especially Sonia Gandhi. Due to this, discussion was also raised that due to his ongoing resentment with BJP, he may join Congress.
