In Mohali, a clash erupted between the police and criminals from nearby Chandigarh. Gunfire ensued from both sides in Badmajra village. The criminals were heading from Amritsar towards Mohali after snatching a car. Police set up a barricade to apprehend the criminals, who retaliated by opening fire on the police. In response, the police also fired shots. Subsequently, the criminals abandoned an Audi car at the scene and fled.

A search operation is underway for the criminals, with suspicions that they might be hiding nearby. These criminals had snatched a car from a doctor at gunpoint in Amritsar on Saturday night.
