YS Sharmila, the leader of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Telangana Party (YSRTP) was taken into custody by the police during a demonstration in Delhi against the Telangana administration.
She said,”I’m here to shed some light on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project scam, which is currently the greatest fraud in the nation. We’ll march to Parliament to demonstrate the scope of this fraud . He was conducting the protest citing anomalies in Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, a multipurpose irrigation project on Godavari River in Telangana.”
She declared that she would continue the conflict until the Parliament took it up. “We have been the only group opposed to the project. From the ED to the CAG, we all met. Unless the Parliament takes up the issue, we will continue to fight this war. I extend an invitation to all Telangana MPs to join me in this fight for Telangana’s 4 million residents. While the nine BRS MPs are puppets in the hands of their master, I am confident that the other members can unite, show unity, and instill hope and confidence in the helpless farmers.”
