The Indian women’s compound team won the nation’s first-ever gold medal at the World Archery Championships, and prime minister Narendra Modi praised them for their great performance, stating their devotion and hard work were the reason behind it.

The women’s compound team from India, consisting of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Swami, and Parneet Kaur, made history on Friday by defeating Mexico to win the gold medal at the World Archery Championships in Berlin.

“A proud moment for India as our exceptional compound Women’s Team brings home India’s first-ever gold medal in the World Archery Championship held in Berlin. Congratulations to our champions,” Prime Minister Modi said.
