Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended birthday wishes to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday.
Taking to Twitter PM Modi said, “Birthday greetings to Delhi Chief Minster Shri @ArvindKejriwal Ji. I pray for his long life and good health.”
The Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal turned 54 today and thanked the Prime Minister for his wishes.
“Thank you, sir,” CM Kejriwal replied.
Earlier on 16 August, Kejriwal paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Taking to Twitter Kejriwal said, “My tributes to former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji on his death anniversary.”
Meanwhile, PM Modi and President Droupadi Murmu, and several prominent leaders paid floral tribute to the former PM at Sadaiv Atal.
Moreover, Union Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid floral tribute at Vajpayee’s memorial in Delhi.
Narendra Modi’s government declared Vajpayee’s birthday, 25 December as Good Governance Day. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first non-Congress who became the Prime Minister of India.
However, Vajpayee was elected twice as the country’s prime minister in 1996 and 1999. Later in 2015, he was awarded India’s highest civilian honor Bharat Ratna.
