Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently attended events celebrating the diversity of India’s cultures and regions throughout the years, and on Friday he attended Bihu celebrations in Assam after visiting a Tamil new year celebration the day before.
He visited Delhi’s Sacred Heart Cathedral Church last Easter Sunday, according to government sources, and he also celebrated Ugadi at an event given by the former vice president M. Venkaiah Naidu last month.
In February, Modi launched the Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava cultural festival in New Delhi. In November of last year, he took part in Shri Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary festivities at the home of National Commission for Minorities Chairperson Iqbal Singh Lalpura.
