Bharatiya Janata Party’s national president, JP Nadda, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech, describing it as an inspiring vision for the nation’s youth and a blueprint for a developed India by 2047.
Speaking about PM Modi’s address from the Red Fort, Nadda highlighted the Prime Minister’s inclusive approach, noting how Modi referred to the citizens as family. “The entire country is his family,” Nadda remarked. He continued, “His speech was an announcement to free the country from corruption and dynasty.” The BJP chief appreciated Modi’s reiterated theme of “reform, perform, and transform.”
During his speech on India’s 77th Independence Day, PM Modi made significant announcements.
Nadda underscored three major guarantees given by the PM:
India ascending to the world’s third-largest economy within five years.
Concessions in bank loans for urban renters.
The establishment of 25,000 ‘Jan Aushadhi Kendra’ across India.
Nadda also drew attention to PM Modi’s references to the natural calamities that parts of India have endured, the pacification in Manipur, and India’s ongoing recovery from “a thousand years of slavery.” Modi emphasised a growing global interest in India’s potential and consciousness, which Nadda reiterated.
In quoting the Prime Minister, Nadda said, “Whatever we do and whatever decisions we take will determine our direction for the next 1000 years. The one who writes the fate of India.”
Nadda also commented on a poem recited by PM Modi during his address. Titled Chalta Chalata Kaal Chakra, it inspires action, change, and youth involvement. The BJP chief believes the poem will ignite fresh enthusiasm among the younger generation.
Prior to his Red Fort address, PM Modi paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat. This year’s Independence Day marked the culmination of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations initiated by Modi in March at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, ushering in the era of ‘Amrit Kaal’.
