On Monday, the first day of his two-day visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for multiple development projects worth Rs 5,950 crore at a function in the Mehsana district of the state. At the Ambaji temple in the Banaskantha district, the PM will offer prayers to start his visit. He will next depart for a public function in Dabhoda village, Kheralu taluka, Mehsana, where he will introduce several projects and speak to a crowd.

According to a government release, the projects are related to several government departments, including the urban development, roads and buildings, state water resource and water supply departments, Indian Railways, and Gujarat Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (GRIDE). According to the statement, Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mahisagar, Gandhinagar, and Patan are among the districts covered by the 16 development projects that Modi will unveil.

PM Modi will unveil a number of railway initiatives, such as the doubling of the Viramgam-Samakhiali rail line, new sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), a project to recharge rural lakes, a barrage on the Sabarmati River, and projects for drinking water and sewage water treatment, among other things. The prime minister will also lay the cornerstones for a number of sewage treatment facilities, road widening projects, and irrigation initiatives.
