Farmers will not get water from the project: Gehlot
Meanwhile, former CM Ashok Gehlot has issued a statement before the Prime Minister’s meeting.
He has claimed that there is no provision of irrigation water for farmers in the new PKC-ERCP project.
Gehlot said that this is the reason why the MoU being done on ERCP is being hidden, otherwise what is the reason for keeping it secret? Gehlot said that PM Narendra Modi has just come and gone and is coming again after seven days. When the PM goes to a state, it is seen for what purpose he is going. He changed the name of ERCP to PKC-ERCP. An agreement has been made between the Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan governments, does the public not have the right to know what benefit Rajasthan will get from it, it is a right. He said that we are continuously demanding from the Chief Minister. Despite this, the MoU is not being made public. A new agreement has also been made on ERCP, it is being kept secret. The people of the state do not know whether you are protecting our interests or not. We do not know whether Madhya Pradesh will benefit or not.
