Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs from the northeastern area on Monday as part of the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections next year.
JP Nadda, the BJP chief, and Union ministers Sarbananda Sonowal, Kiren Rijiju, and Nitin Gadkari will attend the meeting. NDA legislators from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim will attend today’s meeting.
The Narendra Modi government has made the northeast a priority. Manipur has experienced ethnic bloodshed, and the government is working to restore calm.
