PM Modi to begin 2-day visit to Gujarat today; gift projects worth more than Rs 52,250 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat for a two-day trip from February 24th to 25th. The visit includes various events and inaugurations across the state.

According to a release from the Prime Minister’s office, on February 25th, the Prime Minister will start his day by performing pooja and darshan at Beyt Dwarka temple at around 7:45 am. This will be followed by a visit to the Sudarshan Setu at around 8:25 am, and then to the Dwarkadhish Temple at around 9:30 am.

At around 1 pm, the Prime Minister will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Dwarka, amounting to more than Rs. 4150 crore. Later in the day, at around 3:30 pm, he will visit AIIMS Rajkot, and at around 4:30 pm, he will inaugurate and dedicate several development projects at Race Course Ground, Rajkot, worth more than Rs. 48,100 crore.

Among the projects to be inaugurated is the Sudarshan Setu, a cable-stayed bridge connecting Okha mainland and Beyt Dwarka island, built at a cost of around Rs. 980 crores. The Prime Minister will also dedicate a pipeline project at Vadinar, involving the replacement of existing offshore lines, and lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure projects in the region.

In Rajkot, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs. 48,100 crore, covering sectors like health, road, rail, energy, petroleum, natural gas, and tourism.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will dedicate five new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Rajkot (Gujarat), Bathinda (Punjab), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal), and Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh), as well as lay the foundation stone for over 200 healthcare infrastructure projects across 23 states and union territories.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the National Institute of Naturopathy named ‘Nisarg Gram’ at Pune, along with the Regional Research Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy at Jhajjar, Haryana. He will also inaugurate and dedicate 21 projects of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for various renewable energy projects and the New Mundra-Panipat pipeline project. He will also dedicate and lay the foundation stone for several road and rail infrastructure projects in the region.
