Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman for the warm felicitations and words of friendship following the BJP-led NDA’s victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

In a post on X, PM Modi stated, “Thank Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman for his call and deeply appreciate his warm felicitations and words of friendship.”

PM Modi also highlighted the enduring strategic relationship between India and Oman, emphasizing its potential for further strengthening in the future. “The centuries-old India-Oman strategic ties are destined to scale new heights,” PM Modi said on X.

Narendra Modi was sworn in for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister of India on June 9 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, attended by leaders from India’s neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean region.

Numerous world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron, and others, congratulated PM Modi on his re-election.

President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Narendra Modi and his team of ministers, marking the beginning of his third term as Prime Minister.
