On the third anniversary of the National Education Policy, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi delivered the inaugural address at the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam today, July 29, 2023, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Additionally, he published 100 novels in 12 languages.
The third anniversary of the National Education Policy, or NEP 2020, fell on the same day as the “Samagam.” Prior to the ceremony, PM Modi also went to an exhibition celebrating the new NEP’s third anniversary. PM Modi spoke with students as well.
Addressing the youth of the nation, PM Modi says, ‘It is education that has the power to change the destiny of the country. Education has an important role in achieving the target with which the country is moving forward…You are the representative of this…It is an important opportunity for me to be the part of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam.”
He added that the National Education Policy’s objective is to turn India into a hub for research and innovation. NCERT is writing news books in all 22 Indian languages for teaching in about 130 different subjects. Education will now be provided in Indian languages, ranging from social science to engineering.
“It is possible because of NEP and all languages will get their due respect” says Modi. He continued by saying that it would be injustice to judge students on the basis of their mother tongue rather than their talent.
The first installment of money from the PM SHRI Scheme was released by the prime minister during this event. As envisaged by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, these schools will grow students in a way that enables them to become involved, effective, and contributing citizens for constructing an equitable, inclusive, and heterogeneous society.
The dates of the 2023 Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam are July 29 and 30. The opening ceremony will take place in the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.
The conference will include sixteen sessions with discussions on topics like access to high-quality education and governance, equitable and inclusive education, the Indian knowledge system, internationalisation of education, problems facing socioeconomically disadvantaged groups, and the national institute ranking framework, among others.
NEP 2020: The National Education Policy 2020 was established with the goal of developing young people and preparing them for Amrit Kaal leadership. Its principal objective is to keep young people grounded in fundamental human values while preparing them for the difficulties of the future. Over the course of its three years of operation, the strategy has resulted in a considerable change in the realms of school, higher education, and skill education.
