In the ongoing second phase of the Assembly elections in Gujarat Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote on Sunday in Ahmedabad’s Nishan Public School in Ranip.

Meanwhile, for celebrating the festival of democracy with great pomp PM Modi thanked the people of Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, and Gujarat.

Moreover, for conducting the election peacefully PM Modi also lauded the Election Commission of India.

Talking to the media PM Modi said, “The festival of democracy has been celebrated with great pomp by the people of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi. I want to thank the people of the country. I also want to congratulate Election Commission for conducting elections peacefully.”

However, the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly polls in 93 seats across 14 districts of the state is underway. In the second phase of the Gujarat elections, over 2.51 crore electorates will decide the fate of 833 candidates from 61 parties.

Earlier on Sunday MCD elections concluded in Delhi where above 50 percent of the people cast their votes.

Furthermore, on 12 November in a single phase, Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections were held.

Henceforth the counting of the votes in Delhi will take place on 7 December. In Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, it will take place on 8 December.
