Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Interim Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it “inclusive and innovative.”  PM Modi emphasized the budget’s empowerment of the four pillars of Viksit Bharat, stating, “This Budget gives the guarantee of making India a developed nation by 2047.”
He highlighted the budget’s reflection of young India’s aspirations and noted significant decisions related to research and innovation, the construction of additional houses for the poor, and the Ayushman Bharat scheme’s extension to ASHA and Anganwadi workers. PM Modi also commended the budget’s focus on controlling fiscal deficit while allocating a historic high of Rs 11,11,111 crore for capital expenditure. Additionally, he acknowledged the income-tax remission scheme benefiting the middle class and highlighted key measures for farmers. The budget’s announcement of a Rs 1 lakh crore corpus to drive private investment in sunrise technologies was described by the Finance Minister as heralding a “golden era for our tech-savvy youth.”
