Pokémon GO is set to shine just in time for Diwali with its annual Festival of Lights event, running from November 1 to November 4, 2024. This year, trainers across India will experience a blend of culture and augmented reality as Pikachu makes its debut in a saree, marking a unique cultural touch to the beloved Pokémon. Trainers may even encounter a shiny version of this special Pikachu, adding extra excitement to the game.

Event bonuses include double Stardust and XP for catching Pokémon, while Team GO Rocket will be more active with increased appearances at balloons and PokéStops. Incense will last three hours, giving players more chances to encounter glowing Pokémon like Alolan Geodude, Hisuian Voltorb, and Morelull.

Bollywood duo Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh are featured as brand ambassadors for the event, with teasers of their involvement in special videos. Furthermore, a sweepstakes on Instagram offers two lucky Indian players the chance to win a trip to the Pokémon GO City Safari: São Paulo.

Bengaluru will be the hub of the celebrations with an in-person event at Phoenix Marketcity on November 3, featuring giveaways and surprises for attendees.

As the event draws near, trainers are reminded to stay aware of their surroundings and adhere to local health guidelines. With glowing Pokémon, cultural flair, and celebrity involvement, this year’s Festival of Lights promises a radiant experience for Pokémon GO fans across India.
