Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar arrived for a crucial meeting with party ministers over the present political scenario after the suspended Mumbai Police inspector Sachin Waze’s arrest in the Ambani bomb-scare case. Assistant Police Inspector (API) Sachin Waze was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) last week for involvement in parking an explosive-laden SUV near Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Antilia last month.

Pawar also met Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday. The meeting was attended by Nawab Malik, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil, Rajesh Tope, Hasan Mushif, Bala Saheb Patil, Jitendra Awhad, and et al. After completing the meeting, NCP chief Sharad Pawar immediately convened another core committee meeting and was joined by home minister Anil Deshmukh, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, and Maharashtra NCP leader Jayant Patil. The members of the party said that the meeting was concerned with the rising Covid-19 cases, and local body elections.

Sudharm Waze, on behalf of his brother Sachin Waze, filed a habeas corpus on Monday, petition before Bombay high court, alleging that his arrest by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is unlawful.

Sudharm Waze alleged that his brother was ‘made a scapegoat by certain political powers’ by using Vimla Hiren, the widow of Mansukh Hiren. Hiren’s body was found in the Kalwa creek last week. He was linked to the Scorpio car laden with explosives found outside the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

Sachin Waze, reportedly, has been facing health issues since the past week. After complaining about chest pain, the arrested cop was taken to Mumbai’s J. J. Hospital under the security of Mumbai police.

It is expected that the ADG Rank team from the NIA team of Delhi would also come to Mumbai for the investigation. Few names have also been suggested those may take a position in Mumbai Crime Branch after various revelations by NIA.
