In connection with the Patra Chawl land case, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut was sent to judicial custody till 22 August.

Moreover, on August 1, Sanjay Raut was sent to Enforcement Directorate’s custody till August 4.

On 31 July, the ED reached Raut’s house in Bhandup at 7 am and searched his house for about 9 hours. The ED had conducted this raid in connection with the money laundering case related to the Patra Chal scam.

Amid the ED action, Raut asserted that he won’t quit the Shiv Sena and keep on fighting. Taking to Twitter Raut tweeted, “I have nothing to do with any scam. I am saying this by taking the oath of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray. Balasaheb taught us how to fight. I will continue to fight for Shiv Sena.”

Earlier on June 28, ED summoned Raut in connection with a money laundering case about the Rs 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam. However, the ED provisionally attached assets worth over Rs 11.15 crore of Raut’s wife Varsha Raut, and two of his associates in April.
