Patna Pirates, the three-time Pro Kabaddi League champions, are set to ignite the home turf at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna during their season 10 home fixture matches from January 26th to January 31st, 2024.
Geared up for the home leg, the Pirates aim to deliver their best performances in front of their enthusiastic home fans. Renowned for their highly competitive style of kabaddi, the team is ready to thrill spectators with the inspiring new cheer slogan, “Garda Uda Denge Phirse.” The team boasts a balanced composition of both young and experienced players.
The champions kick off their home matches at Patna’s iconic Pataliputra Sports Complex against Bengal Warriors on January 26, followed by clashes with Puneri Paltan on January 27, Gujarat Giants on January 29, and Bengaluru Bulls on January 31. Anticipation is high for these matches, with each expected to deliver intense and thrilling kabaddi action.
Sachin Tanwar will lead the Patna Pirates during the home leg matches, stepping in for Neeraj, who is resting due to injury. Manjeet assumes the role of vice-captain.
Under the leadership of captain Sachin Tanwar, the squad includes notable players such as Manjeet, Sudhakar, Sandeep Kumar, Ranjit Naik, Zheng-Wei-Chen in the Raiding department, and all-rounders Ankit, Babu M, Daniel Odhiambo, and Rohit.
The defensive lineup features Manish, Naveen Sharma, Thiyagrajan Yuvaraj, Abhinand, and Deepak Kumar. Sandeep Kumar, the first player from Bihar with Patna Pirates, adds a local touch to the team. Narender Kumar Redhu serves as the head coach, with Anil Chaprana as the deputy coach.
