With around one year left in the forthcoming assembly elections, all political parties are on their toes in a bid to strengthen themselves. The ruling BJP and its ally JJP are trying their best to repeat history, and in continuation to this, the main opposition parties Congress and INLD are leaving no stone unturned to get back to their old golden era.
Meanwhile, it continues to come to the fore that the political bigwigs, who once had prominent roles in the state as well as national politics, are struggling to survive and are now active on a large scale to overcome the upcoming election crisis. Captain Abhimanyu, who had the portfolio of finance minister during the first tenure of the BJP-ruled government, could not survive the assembly elections in 2019 and faced the debacle that led to his collapse to some extent, and following this, he is doing his best to survive politically.
Kiran Chaudhary, the Congress stalwart, continues to face obstacles. In Haryana, the Congress has been in exile for almost 9 years. The party is making every possible effort to bring back the golden era of power. Beyond this, times are getting more difficult politically for Kiran Chaudhary, but the widened rift between Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kiran Chaudhary has exacerbated her problems. She is becoming a victim of continuous neglect in her own party.
Chaudhary Birender Singh, a BJP stalwart who was the central minister during the BJP-ruled government, is on his toes to prove his political dominance in the party as well as in state politics. It is clearly evident from his recent statement that he might join any other party. These days, Birender Singh, his wife Premlata, and son Brijendra Singh are continuously active in Hisar and surrounding areas. Apart from Uchana, he is trying to strengthen himself in other circles as well.
In continuation of the aforesaid, it is worth stating that Rao Inderjit is a big face in the politics of the state, and he has a lot of interference in many seats in southern Haryana. Similarly, like the aforementioned leaders, he continues to make efforts to prove his mettle in state politics. Contrary to the party line, he came up with several statements that added to the woes of the party. INLD was at the helm of power at one point in time, but after that, the party has been in a political abyss for a long time. INLD veteran Abhay Singh Chautala is conducting political campaigns these days and leaving no stone unturned to bring the party’s 19-year exile from power to an end.
