The Haryana CM Cup is set to take place in Panchkula at the block level from February 28th to March 3rd. District Sports Officer Neelkamal shared that the initiative, aimed at fostering a passion for sports among the youth and steering them away from drugs, is being organized for the first time across all 22 districts and 143 blocks in the state.
Games are scheduled in Raipurrani block on February 28th, Morni block on February 29th, Pinjore block on March 1st, and Barwala block on March 2nd and 3rd. The CM Cup will feature six sports competitions (team games) – football, handball, basketball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and volleyball, open to youth aged between 14 to 23 years. These competitions will be held at the block, district, division, and state levels.
The block-level games are scheduled from February 28th to March 3rd, followed by district-level on March 5th, divisional-level on March 7th, and state-level on March 9th. The state-level winners will receive cash prizes, with the gold medal-winning team awarded Rs 2 lakh, the silver medal-winning team Rs 1.5 lakh, and the bronze medal-winning team Rs 1 lakh.
