A seven-day workshop is being organized at Government College Sector-1 under the joint auspices of the Women’s Cell and the Physical Education Department. Today, a workshop on the subject of Yoga has commenced at Government College, with Yoga Instructor Anjali Kaushik serving as the Resource Person.

Inaugurating the workshop, Principal Shri Yashpal Singh mentioned that in today’s hi-tech environment, Yoga is the only path through which humans can maintain both physical and mental health. On the first day, Yoga Instructor Anjali Kaushik explained what Yoga is, the problems it addresses, and the effects it has on various parts of our body. She also highlighted that improper practice of Yoga can have negative effects.

He further stated that practicing Pranayama contributes to maintaining physical and mental health, reducing the likelihood of internal disorders. Dr. Aparajita, coordinator of the Women’s Cell, emphasized that yoga enhances immunity, increases physical concentration through pranayama, reduces the chances of diseases, and ensures proper oxygen supply to all our organs.

On this occasion, Head of the Physical Education Department, Dr. Rammehar, along with other professors from the department, including Dr. Vijay, Dr. Rekha Punia, and Dr. Shailja Kumari, were present.
