A resurfaced video of a paraglider making an unexpected landing on the chief guest during a 2023 event in Pakistan has amused netizens. Shared on X by the account ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’, the clip shows the incident occurring at Gilgit-Baltistan’s 76th Independence Day celebration, where the paraglider was meant to make a dramatic entrance with red and blue smoke trailing behind him.
However, due to a misjudgment in speed and timing, the paraglider landed directly in the first row instead of the designated field, startling the audience and the chief guest. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though the paraglider was entangled in the damaged parachute after the mishap.

The footage has garnered over 604,000 views and nearly 8,000 likes since being shared. Users flooded the comments with humorous takes, with one saying, “Never a day goes by when Pakistan isn’t doing Pakistani things,” while another quipped, “He landed like Green Goblin in the Spider-Man movie.”
Others joined in the fun, with remarks such as, “We will never run out of funny content as long as Pakistan is there,” and, “The people still clapping and the cameraman didn’t move an inch.” Another commented, “He might have landed in the same spot while practicing. They put VIP seating there—not his fault!”
The celebration, held on November 1, 2023, marked the region’s Independence Day. The video adds to a growing list of quirky moments from Pakistan, such as a previous clip showing a Serene Air pilot cleaning the windscreen of his Airbus A330-200 before takeoff for a flight from Pakistan to Jeddah, sparking debates about safety protocols and ground staff responsibilities.
