In a bomb explosion in Pakistan’s Peshawar, a Frontier Constabulary (FC) official was killed and eight people, including two civilians, were injured, according to Pakistan’s Dawn.

Warsak Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Arshad Khan said that the attack targeted a vehicle belonging to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa FC’s Mohmand Rifles unit at around 10:30 a.m. (local time). The explosion happened close to the Prime Hospital Complex on Warsak Road.

According to him, the explosion occurred when the car was traveling from Machni to Peshawar. According to Mohammad Arshad Khan, a Frontier Constabulary (FC) official was murdered, and six FC officials as well as two other persons were injured.

Mohammad Azam Khan, the interim chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, denounced the act. Dawn said that he prayed for the injured people’s quick recovery. He gave the go-ahead for hospital staff to offer the injured patients the best care possible.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the gunfire exchange took place near Mir Ali. Lance Naik Jamshed Khan was killed during their exchange of fire, according to the statement from ISPR.
Additionally, it stated that the area was being sanitized to get rid of any terrorists discovered nearby.
