Unknown criminals threw a hand grenade at the Jhalawan Complex on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Khuzdar, Balochistan Province, injuring at least two people, according to Dawn. According to the police, a man and a child who were passing through the area at the time of the incident and were injured.

The injured people were identified as Mohammad Aslam Shahzai and Mohammad Arshad (10), reported Dawn.
Police rushed to the area and shifted the injured to the district hospital.

Another incident involving a hand grenade was reported in Major Chowk, Mastung. The explosion of the grenade broke the windows of nearby businesses and structures, but no casualties were reported, according to Dawn. On August 17, ARY News reported a similar incident in Karachi where three Pakistani policemen were hurt after unidentified men threw a hand grenade at a police vehicle. According to the report, a hand grenade cracker was allegedly thrown at a police vehicle in Sachal Karachi, injuring three officers, according to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Karachi.

Meanwhile, a separate incident was reported in the Balochistan province’s Naseerabad where unidentified men hurled a hand grenade at SSP’s squad in Dera Murad Jamali.
According to police officials, SSP Naseerabad Hussain Lehri was coming back from a routine patrol along with his squad when the hand grenade exploded but no one was injured.
