Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya accused AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi of doing politics of “Muslim appeasement” following his statement that the day is not far when there will be mob lynching of a Muslim in the Parliament.
Maurya said that whatever happened inside the Parliament is a matter of parliamentary affairs and it is being looked upon by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and action is also being taken, so the matter needs to be resolved.
Coming down heavily on Bharatiya Janata Party over Ramesh Bidhuri’s objectionable remarks targeted at BSP MP Danish Ali in the Lok Sabha, Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday said that the day is not far when there will be a mob lynching of a Muslim in the Parliament.
“This is the politics of Muslim appeasement. What happens in Parliament is seen by the Speaker. Our Defence Minister apologised for what was said in Parliament, and the party has given notice to him and action has been taken,” said Maurya.
“But a leader of the India Alliance used insulting words for Sanatana Dharma, the kind of words used by Congress’s Haryana President for Prime Minister Modi. They are silent on that. It is wrong that they are raising questions about an incident that happened in Parliament even after action was taken on it,” added Maurya.
All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP was addressing a public gathering in his parliamentary constituency in Hyderabad when he attacked BJP.
“We see that a BJP MP abuses a Muslim MP in the Parliament. People are saying that he should not have said all this in the Parliament, they are saying that his tongue was bad. This is the representative of the people for whom you voted… The day is not far when there will be a mob lynching of a Muslim in the Parliament of the country,” the AIMIM chief said.
