On Thursday, over 1.33 crore students from approximately 76,000 government and private schools in the state collectively performed Surya Namaskar, setting a world record. Additionally, at 10:30 am, Minister Madan Dilawar also performed Surya Namaskar with students from three schools at the Chaugan Stadium in the capital.
Minister Madan Dilawar said, “Today, we are on the verge of setting a world record by performing Surya Namaskar. This day will be remembered in history. Everyone is welcoming this decision. There is no opposition.”
After performing Surya Namaskar, Minister Dilawar said, “I congratulate the people of Rajasthan for performing Surya Namaskar. May Lord Surya continue to bless everyone with enlightenment. In this way, may God illuminate the entire world. Through Ishwar Namaskar, we have set another world record. So far, we have no information about any school not participating in Surya Namaskar. We will take action against those schools where Surya Namaskar was not performed.”
He said, “For those who have not sent their children to school for Surya Namaskar, may Lord Surya bless them with wisdom. Next time, they should also start sending their children to school for Surya Namaskar.”
Regarding opposition to Surya Namaskar, the minister said, “There is no opposition anywhere in the state. Those who live in India consider it their motherland. Talks against it are being made by the Muslim community. But when I was coming to this program, many Muslim brothers called me.
They congratulated me on this historic program. Everyone is welcoming this decision.
There is no opposition.”
During the collective event, officials inspected the activity in schools across the state. The Education Department has instructed school principals that young children or students with health-related issues should not be included in this activity.
