According to CBC News, two men were killed and six people were injured in a shooting at a wedding reception in Ottawa. The crime site is being investigated further by Ottawa police.

According to a report of CBC News, the victims were attending a reception at the Infinity Convention Centre on the 2900 block of Gibford Drive, off Hunt Club Road near Ottawa International Airport.

Acting Duty Inspector Amy Bond stated that police responded to reports of shooting in the city’s south end about 10:21 p.m. on Saturday. According to CBC News, four hours after the shootings were reported, police claimed there were no further threats to public safety.

On Sunday, the deceased were identified. They were both from Toronto, and one was identified as Said Mohamed Ali, 26, and the other as Abdishakur Abdi-Dahir, 29.
