Dr. Rajeev Bindal, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), expressed gratitude, stating that the central government has been supportive. On December 12, the Ministry of Home Affairs sanctioned an additional financial aid of 633.73 crores from the National Disaster Response Fund for Himachal Pradesh.
Dr Bindal extended special thanks to the central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Minister Amit Shah for their prompt assistance. He emphasized that even in times of disaster, Himachal Pradesh has not faced shortages, and the central government, under effective leadership, has proactively provided essential aid to the state.
Highlighting the various contributions, Dr. Bindal outlined the financial support received by Himachal Pradesh from the central government. This includes 1,000 crores for MNREGA, 100 crores for the PM Housing Scheme, 403 crores for the National Disaster Response Fund, 360 crores and 80 lakhs for the State Disaster Response Fund, and 85 crores and 60 lakhs for the State Disaster Mitigation Fund. Additionally, the central government allocated approximately 2,700 crores for the construction of roads and bridges in Himachal Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
Dr. Bindal stressed the continuous assistance provided by the central government, emphasizing the availability of funds in the central treasury. He acknowledged that the central leadership, including BJP’s National President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Minister Anurag Thakur, has consistently addressed and fulfilled the demands raised by the state. The BJP state president expressed gratitude to the central leadership for their unwavering support.
