Srinagar, May 18: Two tourists were injured on Saturday after terrorist opened fire on a tourist cab in the Yannar area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, according to police reports.
The Kashmir police announced the incident on the micro-blogging platform X, stating, “Terrorist fired upon and injured a lady Farha R/O Jaipur and spouse Tabrez at Yannar, Anantnag. Injured evacuated to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow.”
Sources indicate that the condition of the injured tourists is currently stable. Authorities have cordoned off the area and an investigation is underway. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
