Responding to the pressing needs of the local populace, the District Administration Kulgam orchestrated a successful Mega Block Diwas at Kulgam today, showcasing a commitment to promptly addressing citizens’ concerns.
Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, led the grievance redressal camp, engaging with residents to understand their issues and swiftly resolve them. The event drew active participation from communities in Ashmuji, Aamnoo, Katrasoo, Modergam, Bogund, Kund, and surrounding areas, as they highlighted developmental requirements and voiced concerns.
During the interaction, attendees raised demands such as the augmentation of the Power LT network, development and widening of Aamnoo road, and repairs of entry and exit road stretches near the bus stand in Laroo. Dr. Bilal attentively listened to the public, addressing immediate grievances on the spot and assuring residents that other genuine concerns would be resolved within a stipulated time frame.
Emphasizing the topmost priority of timely grievance redressal, Dr. Bilal directed executing agencies to expedite the pace of ongoing projects, ensuring their swift completion for public benefit.
The grievance redressal camp witnessed the presence of ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, ACR Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran, ACP Sharjeel Ali, and other officials. The substantial turnout of the public and their representatives underscored the success of the initiative in fostering direct communication between the administration and the community.
