TDP to continue to fight till GO 1 is revoked: Chandrababu Naidu

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will continue its fight till GO Number 1 is repealed, and the party is adamant about teaching a lesson to the YSRCP, declared Chandrababu Naidu.

Congratulating the three newly elected TDP MLCs on their success, Chandrabbau showered special praise on Ramgopal Reddy, a native of Pulivendula, for winning the MLC seat against a YSRC rival.

Elated Naidu said that the recent MLC election result is only a small wind, but a tsunami is on the way to wipe out Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party, the YSRCP, he remarked.

Speaking on corruption, the former chief minister expressed his concern regarding forcing the Returning Officer (RO) and the District Superintendent of Police (SP) to make some mistakes. Naidu further added that it is astonishing about the demand for a recount of votes after the announcement of the results.

The former CM said Jagan failed to respect the direction of the Election Commission and mounted pressure on Ro and SP. The TDP leaders and supporters experienced a 72-hour drama, when the winning candidates were arrested and sent to the police station, the TDP supremo said.

Naidu went on to say that the state government has been trying to shut the mouths of people and suppress the Opposition.

He expressed his concern over the attack on his MLA, Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, on the floor of the House. This day will be considered a dark day in the history of Andhra Pradesh. The people of the state are fed up with the present government.
